The Flatwoods monster was a cryptid that was encountered in 1952 by several children. A strange light happened to crash on top of the hill. The light that flew across the sky was described as a pulsing red light. One UFO writer described the Flatwoods Monster as 10 feet tall with a strange shape around its face as if it had a hood on and eyes that emitted orange greenish light. The group that encountered the creature became sick later from a scent that the creature gave off. The creature wasn’t seen again after the encounter.
